FIX’D exists to serve the men and women who volunteered to serve us; our Veterans. We provide accredited life coaching and peer support to veterans fighting through physical and mental obstacles such as; PTSD, Self-Medication, Anger Management, Isolation, Survivors Guilt and Problematic thinking. Vets wait months and in some instances years to receive health care; however, the need intensifies. FIX’D bridges that gap between need and care providing programs, peers, and a network of health care professionals volunteering to answer the call. Just as Veterans answered ours.
The Florida Association of Veteran Owned Businesses is a 501C6 Non-Profit Chamber of Commerce for Civilians and Veterans alike. We have monthly Board Meetings and Business After Hours Networking Events. Bi-monthly symposiums with educational breakout sessions for those who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs. Our primary mission is as follows: We believe that if you have served our country and done so honorably than there should be a real opportunity to start and grow your own business in the State of Florida. Our great state has the third largest Veteran population and yet it remains one of 31 states without Veteran Small Business programs. Our state The only way that will change is if we come together and support Veteran entrepreneurs, whether they are starting off or well heeled, continue to serve by creating jobs and leverage the leadership, dedication, and skills our nation helped them develop for war to bring prosperity in local communities. Our secondary mission is as follows: We strive to bring civilian and veteran business professionals together so they can exchange services and solutions in order to enhance their business models. Supporting each others businesses within the community in which we all live and work in.
Veterans Florida's mission is to attract and retain veterans and their families by connecting them to education, training, employment, and entrepreneurial opportunities as well as promoting veteran hiring among Florida businesses.
The Florida Veterans Foundation serves, supports, and advocates for Florida veterans to improve their well being.
The Florida Veterans Foundation:
Serves Florida veterans and their families by providing direct services and partnering with state and local governments, veteran service organizations, and educational institutions to improve their physical, financial, mental, emotional, and social well being;
Supports the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs’ mission of advocacy; and,
Advocates for Florida veterans by educating the public and governmental entities to increase awareness on veteran-related issues.
