Service DescriptionCoastal Carolina Cutting Boards (CCCB) by The Dean Company is a family business of woodworkers stretching back five generations. The Dean Family began its involvement in woodworking as manufacturing of veneers and matching hardwoods. Although we no longer manufacture veneers, The Dean Company manufactures stair treads, moldings, decking, paneling, tabletops, countertops and supply wood to the marine industry.
The cutting board business came about when owner, Tom Dean, made cutting boards for friends as Christmas gifts. He tested sales by producing and sanding them in his driveway. He and his then 10-year-old son would sell them on the street corner. That proved to be a huge success, so we began production in our shop. That was in 2015. Today, we manufacture thousands of cutting boards every week and our numbers continue to grow.
Our staff consists of Veterans and family members of the military (current and retired). All of our products are handcrafted and we try not to make any two the same. We take great pride in making sure our products meet your expectations and hope it shows in our work.
We own two laser engraving machines and a CNC machine. We can laser engrave your boards with your Company logo or message, add a juice tray, cut out a shape, etc. There are endless possibilities! We like to think of it as Effortless Marketing!

We support Kids Making It in Wilmington, NC. KMI is a nationally recognized 401(c)(3) nonprofit youth program that teaches woodworking, life, and entrepreneurial skills to at-risk youth from Age 8 into young adulthood.
We also support War Heroes on Water, located in Avalon, CA. This organization takes our Wounded War Heroes out on a Fishing Tournament. We also support Hope for the Warriors yearly fundraising event in Wallace, NC, and Fallen Outdoors, which take our Veterans out boating and/or hunting. All great causes to show support to our Veterans.
