Since 1940, the Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC) has improved the health and well-being of men and women who have so proudly served our nation. We consider it our privilege to serve your health care needs in any way we can, providing medical, mental health, women's health care and specialty services to more than 65,000 veterans living in a 21-county area of North Carolina and South Carolina.
What happens to the women who have served in the Armed Forces? Are they really prepared for their return to civilian life, a life that is different than the one they just left as well as the one they left when they entered the service? Many find themselves jobless, homeless, and even penniless. Imagine having given the ultimate sacrifice to one’s country and not being able to financially support one’s family after returning to the States?
MMIA’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values are at the root of the organization:
• MISSION: Dedicated to assisting veterans, members of the armed forces and their families.
• VISION: To set the standard of support for our veterans, members of the armed forces and their families by engaging neighbors, business and organizations.
With more than 45,000 veteran service organizations recognized by the IRS, getting help can be difficult, confusing, and time-consuming. We’re here to change that.
Stop Soldier Suicide works 1-on-1 with troops, veterans, and military family members to help navigate the maze of services, programs, and assistance available.
Our team works to identify each individual’s specific needs, find the right resources to meet those needs, and provide continued support and personalized case management for 24 months.
