Operation Vet-Fit’s mission is to assist our nation’s combat veterans, active duty members, and affected family members through advocacy, exercise, fitness, and group-based motivational activities and events. Operation Vet-Fit is accomplishing this mission through free fitness club memberships, personal training, group training and group-based motivational events geared toward fostering a healthy transition following combat service. Additionally, we serve as a free liaison supporting veterans with service-connected disabilities by assisting in the process of locating, accessing, and navigating the many available veterans benefits currently being offered.

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, opened in 1966, consists of one primary, secondary, and tertiary care facility located in Charleston, SC, serving over 67,000 Veterans in 21 counties, encompassing more than 15,000 square miles. Charleston VAMC is a 152 authorized bed tertiary care teaching hospital with 20 operating nursing home care beds, and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of patient care and services to Veterans along the South Carolina and Georgia coasts. The full range of inpatient and outpatient care is provided including Medical and Surgical Intensive Care, and Medical/Surgical. The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center provides comprehensive health care through primary care, tertiary care, and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, women’s health and dentistry. Specialty services include Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Mental Health programs for PTSD, Substance Use Disorders, Military Sexual Trauma, Cardiology, Oncology, Nephrology, Pulmonary and Geriatrics. The VAMC includes five Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) located in Beaufort, Goose Creek and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Savannah and Hinesville, Georgia, as well as an annex in North Charleston. The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center also supports three Vet Centers located in Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia.

Wild Hearts Equine Therapeutic Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit company that cultivates powerful connections between people and horses through innovative and customized equine-assisted learning and therapeutic riding programs based on Hippotherapy and Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) principles. Our programs offer low or no-cost assistance to those with physical disabilities, people dealing with emotional trauma, behavioral or social issues, at-risk youth and victims of abuse, as well as Active Duty Military personnel and Veterans.
Located in beautiful Oconee County in Upstate South Carolina, our mission is to provide a safe and compassionate environment that fosters physical, emotional and behavioral growth utilizing programs that enrich the quality of life for people of all ages.
